DescriptionCandidate will be required to support a 24x7 LAN and associated applications. Candidate will troubleshoot, upgrade, existing operational environment consisting of workstations running Windows XP Desktops, Microsoft Exchange/Outlook, Active Directory, Microsoft 2003 servers, and Novell 6.5 Servers. Current networking infrastructure consists of Cisco routers, DSU/CSU’s, bridges, switches, gateways and protocol converters. Peripheral devices consist of PDA’s, Blackberry hand held devices and printers. Disaster Recovery software utilized is Veritas Backup Exec. Travel may be required. Must be experienced in Enterprise Messaging software and Operating Systems listed above in a networked environment. Able to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to completion. Candidate must possess the ability to maintain, identify and troubleshoot networking devices and infrastructure listed above. Experience with Tivoli and Peregrine Service Center preferred. Must perform Disaster Recovery Operations on related systems to include documentation. Must be able to communicate well both written and orally. Ability to work independently is a must. Needs to be able to work as a team, as well. Must be detail oriented and possess strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to maintain inventory control and reporting required. Experience with System Development Life Cycles (SDLC), Work Breakdown Schedules (WBS) and related documentation processes preferred. Travel will be minimal. Special Requirements: Must have strong experience with Novell 4x,5x,6.x Must be a USA Citizen Successful candidates will be subject to a background investigation Conducted by the customer.
