Work from project inception to completion on a strategic, state-of-the-art initiative. The environment is comprised of Oracle 10g RAC instances, multi Terabyte SAN and Sun Solaris.           Requirements: Must have a minimum of 10 years of Oracle database administration experience . Must have 2 or more years of strong Oracle 10G, RAC skills, and must have experience with the following: RMAN, ASM, logical and physical replication, DataGuard, performance monitoring and tuning, data replication tools such as DataMirror. Experience with Grid Control, Performance Tuning and Diagnostic packs. Must have experience installing and managing databases on AIX & HP-UX. Understanding of physical and logical database design . Experience with large/ complex database environments. Familiar with RMAN backup & recovery using Veritas Netbackup. Working experience with HACMP, Sun Cluster & HP Service Guard. Strong UNIX skills with scripting experience. Responsible for 24x7 support of production database. This role calls for a self starter who can multi-task and work in a fast paced critical production support, test and development environment. Strong communication and negotiation skills are required for interacting with peers and project team members. Maintain good relationship and adhere to the Database group's standards and policies. Certifications desired, but not required.
