Sr PreSales Systems Engineer

Location: Schaumburg, IL 60173 Requisition ID:  REQ59879079 (Post ID:71308351) Job Level:  Experienced (Non-Manager)Primary Responsibilities / Position Purpose:  Help Enterprise Sales personnel develop incremental sales in Enterprise solutions including; Voice, Data, Call Center, Security and Optical solutions. Maintain wide range of knowledge across solution sets; Voice, Data, Call Center, Security & Metro-optical while developing an area of technical specialization. Meet with channels/customers to understand their current technical environment, key business issues/drivers, and future technology requirements. Build and maintain relationships with technical decision makers and influencers.  Qualifications / Experience Required:  This position requires exiting pre-sales experience in this field.  Candidates are expected to be “self starters” requiring very little ramp-up time. Excellent presentation and consultative skills required. Ability to Build and maintain relationships with technical decision makers and influencers required. Assist in the preparation of responses to RFP’s and deliver technical and sales oriented presentations to customer’s technical staffs and senior management Provide technical designs, including analysis, configuration, and pricing that meet customer requirements and help solve customer business or technology problems Work with Account & Channel manager sales personnel to help create and implement coordinated account plans. Ensure customers have the technical tools and customer service information required to be self-sufficient after the sale · Strong Convergence/VoIP/Telephony Skills· Strong LAN & WAN Skills· Strong Understanding of IP protocols and standards· Understanding of security protocols and standards· Understanding of Voice/Video over IP (VoIP/H.323/SIP)· Understanding of Call Centers software and design a plus· Excellent presentation and consultative skills required.· Previous Pre-Sales Engineering experience required.Travel Required:  Minimal travel Position Type:  Full Time, Employee Relocation assistance:  None,  Homebase Eligible:  NO Shift:  Day/First Shift Business Unit:  Global Sales
