Sr. Programmer Analyst

 

Education Management Corporation is currently recruiting for a Sr. Programmer Analyst.

This position will be Responsible for developing and supporting .Net software applications used within EDMC.  This includes full life-cycle development, making software modifications, handling second level support calls, and coordinating testing and updates with key users.  This position also requires requirements gathering, performing business analysis, technical design and reviews and project management

 

Responsibilities

 

1.  Development and implementation of systems using .NET, C,  Java, Crystal Reports, SQL and other languages and tools as needed

2.  Project Management experience.

3.  Design of requirements for the solution of business problems and formulation of procedures for their solutions.

4.  Support of software applications used within EDMC.

5.  Technical design and specification.

6.  Systems Integration of new software and applications.

7.  Management and coordination of assigned projects.

8.  Training of System Support Line, Functional Users, and other Systems/Programmer Analysts on new and existing software

 

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

 

1.  Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related area

2.  using C,  Java, C#, ASP.Net, Crystal Reports programming skills

3.  Good analytical and problem solving skills

4.  Good interpersonal skills

5.  Good organizational skills

6.  Project Management skills

7.  5+ years of experience in software development

 

The position interacts with users across the corporation.  They meet the objectives and goals set forth by management to achieve the strategic goals of the department and corporation.  It’s an environment where the person is responsible for effective communication between users and management as well as other support members and the Information Technology Team.  It’s also an environment where one works closely with others in resolving problems and learning new skills in the process.
