Sr. SQL DBA

Senior DBA - The Senior Database Administrator is a technically strong SQL Server DBA. He/she has strong knowledge of SQL Server 2000 and 2005; has good project involvement skills; has very good communication and administrative skills. The preferred candidate will have a history of increasing technical responsibilities, a strong knowledge of SQL Server fundamentals (partitioning, clustered server environment, SAN technology) and a strong knowledge of Windows operating system, .Net development and scripting important. Experience in a large systems environment a necessity. Experience with the MySQL or Oracle DBMS a benefit.Duties include: Will provide support for a large number of existing systems at corporate and store servers. Will provide support to new project development efforts consisting of custom developed applications and packaged software tools. Will partake in rotating off hours On-call responsibilities. Will partake in several infrastructure improvement efforts including database consolidation.
