Sr. Sales Engineer

OVERVIEW

Sr. Sales Engineer will support Direct Sales in acquiring new business. This role would require a person to travel to customer locations for product demonstrations to drive and manage technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products. The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Primary

o Giving product demostrations to Prospects, Investors, Industry Professionals, etc.

o Grasp business requirements and translate that into what’s available in MetricStream Solutions

· Secondary

o Creating Sales Engineering tools (flash demos, demo collateral, web-sites for demo collateral and information, etc.)

o Configuring existing solutions for demos to prospects.

o Work closely with Marketing to drive Sales. Work closely with PS and Development teams to define new features and functionality

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE

· Exceptional communication skills, technical aptitude and creative thinking to develop value propositions for our products and implement pre-sales presentations to our customers.

· Ability to work across functions - Sales, Product Management, Engineering - to understand business needs and applying it to our product demonstrations and present them to the customer.

· At least 3-4 years experience in sales (business development, sales engineering, etc.) OR software-development (customized/configured applications/software) in an IT company.

· Knowledge and experience with relational databases (Oracle 9i, 10g) and coding experience in PL/SQL, HTML and Java Scripting would be required for the role

· Open to be located in either Redwood Shores, CA or Atlanta, GA
