Sr. Software Developer

Oak Grove Technologies is seeking a Sr. Level Programmer for its USDA client at Fort Collins, CO.

The person selected for this position will automate the grants process for the USDA - Natural Resources Conservation Service. 

Position Description:

The Sr. Programmer must be knowledgeable of and experienced with web and desktop application software design and development environments.  Principal responsibilities include:

· Develop code using MS Visual Studio in .NET and C# environments with an emphasis on front-end methodologies including DHTML/XHTML, AJAX, and JavaScript

· Design and develop web services components for cross-application solutions

· Develop RSS components for web applications

· Interact with system designers and provide feedback on design modules

· Perform initial and regression testing on developed code

· Coordinate and prioritize application modifications and bug fixes

· Participate and contribute to a team approach to software development and problem solving

Education and Experience:  

Ten years of Information Technology experience and six or more years of specialized experience in hands-on system applications design and development of web based applications.  At a minimum, a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar discipline is required.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Microsoft .NET, C# and ASP.NET

· AJAX, DHTML/XHTML, JavaScript

· Microsoft Visual Studio 2005/2008

· Operating system experience with Windows XP and 2000/2003

· Documentation and Reporting skills

· Microsoft Internet Information Server

· Experience with Subversion or other source code management system (CVS, VSS)
