ABOUT THE POSITION

 

The Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead – JAVA is responsible for working on multi-disciplinary end-to-end solutions including the design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and operations of large-scale web-based systems.  This position supports a major Intelligence Community customer in the Herndon/Reston, VA area.

 

 

REQUIREMENT - Strong candidate will have the following skills: 

 

· Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) with a full scope polygraph examination.   

· Bachelors degree or equivalent, strong work experience

· 5+ years experience as a Senior Software Developer / Technical Lead

· Strong experience in software engineering, architecture, design, and development

· JAVA a must; knowledge of JDK 1.5 is a plus

· Experience with web-based applications (e.g. Tomcat, Apache)

· Excellent problem-solving skills, especially the ability to reason through technical problems and ability to provide alternative solutions

· Strong communication, written and client facing skills
