Sr. Systems Administrator

Herbalife International of America, Inc.(NSYE:HLF), a global network marketing company that offers a range of science-based weight management products, nutritional supplements and personal care products is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator.

 

The Senior Systems Administrator will be part of a team responsible for change management and administration of Herbalife's Enterprise Applications.  This includes custom developed Internet, Business Intelligence and Compensation Systems as well as the Oracle Business Suite 11.5.x.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

 

*  Creation of scripts/code to integrate custom code changes into deployment/tracking tools.

*  Troubleshooting deployment issues.

*  Working with Developers to automate deployment changes and validate architecture.

*  Tuning and configuration of IIS and Apache Web Servers.

*  Maintenance of IIS and Apache web server processes.

*  Experienced working with customer-facing critical internet applications.

*  Deployment of internet and other maintenance pages.

*  Proven track record documenting processes and systems architecture.

*  Ensure adherence to SOX policies and practices.

*  Mentor junior staff members to ensure their continued success.

*  Must have strong hands-on technical knowledge of SDLC and best practices

*  Must have experience with Oracle database, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports

*  Must have excellent decision making skills, especially when imperfect information is available.

*  Must foster an environment of learning, progression and accountability.

*  Must be able to learn new applications and create administration plans.

*  Must have strong communication skills (written and verbal).

*  Must have strong organizational skills and work in a detail-oriented manner.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Will operate as a team lead for the **webmasters**, system administrators, and application administrators.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

 

Will interact with other DBAs, developers, contractors, managers, system users and software/hardware vendors.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

 

We are looking for a self starter, motivated individual who mold and develop this newly formed team.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

 

*  5+ years of I.T. Experience.

*  Well versed on the maintenance and support of applications in an Enterprise Environment.

*  Strong understanding and hands on experience working with APACHE and IIS Web Servers.

*  Experience supporting applications running on Window and LINUX.

*  Experience working with ORACLE and SQL Server databases.

*  Understanding of ORACLE Applications like OM, SCM, HR, FIN is a plus.

*  Experience as a Developer working with Java and Microsoft .NET, VB6 and T-SQL/PL-SQL is a plus.

*  Experience working with VisualBuildPro and Vault is a plus.

*  Proven mastery of troubleshooting techniques and ability to solve problems quickly in a high pressure environment.

 

EDUCATION:

 

4 year degree in a technical field (Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics) desired.
