Sr Technical Application Analyst (Functional Analyst)

OVERVIEW:

The Sr. Technical Application Analyst is responsible for the functional and technical analysis, design, development and support of new development projects, enhancements, and/or 3rd party integration projects of the internal billing system.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Collection and documentation of functional and technical requirements and processes and ensure the propose solution satisfies business and technical requirements for function, performance, security, and maintainability.

-Work directly with internal customers and coordinate requirements review, level of effort sizing, conceptual designs, functional test plans, and UA testing.

-Demonstrate an understanding of project management principles and software development life cycle methodologies, tools and techniques.

-Consistently demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the application(s) supported and perform a high degree of problem, impact, and risk analysis when problems arise or new functionality is required.

-Conform to Sarbanes-Oxley, internal security, and Amdocs IMIS technical standards, controls, and processes.

-Large portion of daily activities will be analysis and design work.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

-Excellent oral and written communication skills and able to produce required technical and/or procedural (SOX) documentation.

-Experience working with packaged and custom software applications -Excellent customer facing abilities and experience -Ability to logically analyze and resolve complex problems -Ability to be productive working independently or as part of a team -StrongSofware Analysis and Design skills/experience.

-Operating Systems: UNIX and/or Wintel

-Database/Tools: Oracle RDBMS, MS Access

-Applications: Oracle Applications (Financials/AR)

DESIRED SKILLS:

-Tools: Quality Center, Documentum, Perforce, Toad, Clarify

-Languages: Oracle, SQL*Plus, PL/SQL

TRAVEL:

Minimal travel required
