JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position will be responsible for assisting with the Active Directory administration and the management of enterprise-wide Active Directory integration projects. In this position you will provide support in the areas of design, develop, test, debug, documents, and will implement the most complex hardware/software components, tools, and utilities including databases, middleware, and personal computer systems. You will assist with and install the hardware/software products by analyzing the current system environment, using technical tools and utilities, performing the most complex product customization, and develop implementation and verification procedures to ensure successful installation of systems hardware/software. Candidate should be able to support all facets of AD including GPOs, users, groups, OUs, etc. Candidate should have skills in the configuration and installation of domain controllers, servers and workstations, installation and upgrades of operating system and layered commercial software, backups, system availability monitoring, security monitoring, anti-virus administration, patch deployment, and day-to-day support of system engineers and end users. Candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Work with tightly-aligned 1st and 2nd level technicians to ensure world-class level of service Serve as a liaison to vendors to facilitate problem resolution Support the design, install, configure, and support Microsoft 2003 environments. Support the Design and Implement Microsoft Active Directory Manage Active Directory objects Backup and Restore Active Directory Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation May also be responsible for scripting writing3 - 5 years in-depth knowledge of Windows and Active Directory, designing and managing domains for a large, geographically dispersed enterprise (minimum 1000 users). Have a solid understanding of the Windows kernel, registry, network services Strong knowledge of Windows 2003 Server, Active Directory, IIS, domain migration. General knowledge of SharePoint, VMware, Citrix systems is helpful. Experience with build automation, patch management, automated deployments and packaging Strong documentation skills.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with backup tools (e.g., Veritas NetBackup) Experience with email archivingExperience with Microsoft Cluster Services a plus Experience with MOM a plus Experience with anti-spam, anti-virus products Knowledge of script languages preferred Knowledge of network protocols and standards such as TCP/IP and DNS. Servers, blades, disk, tape drives and various software applications. Multi platform environment (Linux, Windows, VMware), hands on experience, enterprise level SAN experience a plus
