Title: Sr. Wintel Active Directory EngineerLocation: Walnut Creek, CASkills: Windows 2000 / 2003, Active Directory (AD) design / implementation / operations, TS Licensing, DNS, LDAP Directories, DHCP, DFS, TCP/IP, WINS, MOM, AD Security and scripting experience. In a nutshell, EE/EO is a group of 2000-plus people who provide the day-to-day automation services necessary to support Kaiser Permanentes many medical groups, business partners and millions of members. With 11,000 servers, EE/EO has one of the largest Oracle shared database projects in the world. With 1,500 plus Citrix servers we are the largest Citrix installation in North America. Our network infrastructure consists of 13,000 routers & switches. There are about 2,000 changes a month to our applications, systems and networks, so meeting commitments is a big piece of the challenge. And with so many disparate applications, platforms and code differentials, were always striving to reduce the complexity of our distributed environment through automation. As in the practice of medicine, the data center of Kaiser Permanente never stops.Job Summary:As a member of the Wintel Directory Services Team you will be apart of a team that is engineering and maintaining the Wintel authentication service for our entire enterprise. This service is a growing area and is a critical component in supporting or goal of providing real-time healthcare. You will be involved in the following activities:* Supporting and managing all aspects of large and distributed active directory infrastructure* Maintaining directory structure, delegating administration, setting up trusts, monitoring replication, installing domain controllers, creating logon scripts, and resolving directory related issues * Operational support of Active Directory, WINS, DFS and AD enabled applications * AD management and monitoring tool sets (MOM), MOM experience a plus* Execute disaster recovery testing to ensure a recoverable AD environment * Replicate, populate, and update tasks related to the user directory environment* Create and maintain systems and procedure documentation* Completion of project based assignmentsOpportunity Requirements: The successful candidate will posses senior level skills in AD site, domain, and forest design; AD replication, disaster recovery and LDAP are required. Detailed requirements are:Minimum Skills and Experience Required:* Minimum of 5-8 years experience working in a large complex directory environment with direct technical experience supporting Windows 2000/2003 Active Directory for 5000+ users.
