Staff Programmer

As a member of the Technical Staff, duties include (1) Assist in the programming, debugging, and testing of a wide range of applications, such as web-based ASP applications using web development tools with Java Script and VB Script; desktop-based applications using desktop development tools with Visual Basic, C++, and .NET languages; and mobile applications using VB, (2) Prepare a variety of documentation, such as software quality documents and user manuals, (3) Assist with procurement, setup, support of computers and network administration. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

The position requires: (1) Knowledge of one or more programming languages, such as VB, C++, C# and scripting languages; (2) Experience with one or more development tools, such as Microsoft Visual Studio, Borland C++ Builder, and web development tools; (3) Ability to install, setup and troubleshoot hardware and software; (4) Ability to write software documentation; (5) Ability to apply concepts of algebra and geometry; (6) Ability to perform unit analysis and unit conversions in English and metric units. Position may require a small amount of travel and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of combined experience in developing desktop, mobile, or web applications and PC network administration.  Computer programming skills with Visual Basic, C++, web development tools, and databases are desirable.
