STAFF SYSTEMS ANALYST

 



 

This Staff Systems Analyst position will have implementation and support responsibility for multiple QCT applications in the Engineering and Program Management areas. Primary responsibilities include providing overall functional/technical analysis and design and coordinating matrixed technology and process teams. The position will have ownership for functional design, requirements definition, systems analysis, customer expectations, project schedule, scope/risk management, and support for various projects and production systems.

Typical work activities include collaborating with business process analysts to identify needs and define solution requirements; collaborating with developers/programmers to build custom solutions (application customizations, reports, interfaces); and collaborating with IT third-party vendors to configure and implement package solutions. This person will be the primary liaison between users and technical teams to elicit, analyze, and translate requirements from all stakeholders into functional specifications. He/she will actively participate in the high level design of the applications, evaluate recommended tools or technologies against requirements, and participate in QA reviews to insure that requirements are met.

This person will also prepare and execute test plans, including the use of automated testing tools (e.g Mercury Test Director); design and develop reports; and analyze and resolve system problems (bugs, performance issues, integration issues). He/she may also act as application administrator and provide production support.

 

Skills/Experience:

· 5+ years of systems analysis experience across all phases of the system development life cycle for both off-the-shelf and custom applications.

· Demonstrated ability to write clear requirements, functional specifications, and use cases for a mixed business and technical audience.

· Solid understanding of database concepts and experience with creating queries in SQL.

· Experience in designing and developing reports.

· Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to talk to developers in technical terms and business users in plain language.

· Sound judgment and ability to identify key issues and priorities.

· Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with minimum direction.

· Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrixed team environment.

· Ability to foster positive and constructive working relationships.

· Domain knowledge in semiconductor industry.

· Functional area knowledge of engineering and program management.

o  Excel (e.g. macros, pivot tables, charts)

o  Visual Basic

o  J2EE technical architecture

o  Test Director

o  Web application technology in Internet, Intranet, and Extranet environments, including Portals, WebSphere, J2EE, XML, Java, and JSP.

o  User training and communication / change management

 

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
