Summary
Stanley is seeking an experienced Staffing Manager to support its DoD Programs. The Mission Systems Group Staffing Manager will work in conjunction with several Program Managers to ensure that their staffing needs are effectively met. The Staffing Manager will provide full life cycle recruiting for several DoD-based projects.
Specific Duties:
• Manage the full search process; consult on requirements and strategy, source via all available channels, navigate the selection process, evangelize the company and sell the opportunity, negotiate offers and manage the close.
• Maintain accounts and sources resumes on a variety of job posting websites such as CareerBuilder.com, , Clearancejobs.com & MilitaryHire.com, etc.
• Identify candidate resumes and provide to the appropriate hiring manager for interview selection.
• Work with recruiting coordinator to ensure job descriptions are posted on the internal and external Stanley recruiting websites.
• Maintain job descriptions consistent with Stanley Corporate labor categories.
• Serve as the single point of contact for potential candidates based on resume review from the hiring managers.
• Contact candidates and schedule interviews on behalf of the hiring managers.
• Maintain regular contact with candidates for contingent positions and provide them updates as to the potential start date of the project.
• Ensure recruiting is in compliance with Stanley’s Equal Opportunity Employment policies and federal & state hiring regulations. This includes applicant tracking and ensuring that hiring managers have completed all compliance related documentation.
• Ensures that hiring practices across projects are consistent with our corporate practice..
• Identifies and attends job fairs. .
• Coordinates with local colleges & universities to identify potential interns and entry-level candidates.
• For difficult to fill positions, the Staffing Manager will coordinate with external recruiting agencies, and placement agencies on behalf of the hiring manager.
• For difficult to fill positions, the Staffing Manager will make recommendations to the hiring manager and Division Manager to place recruiting advertisements in targeted media.
• Provide assistance with the sourcing of internal candidates.
• Responsible for coordinating and managing internal process for planning, tracking and assisting with the placement of internal employees that come off a contract or are not covered by a contract.
• Responsible for ensuring those candidates receive offer letters by coordinating with the recruiting coordinator
• Provide feedback and notification to candidates who are not selected for a position.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelors Degree or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years related work experience in Government Contract Recruiting are required.
Additional Requirements:
• Ability to successfully complete the Stanley Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education, Employment, Credit and Driving Records Checks for continued employment.
• Thorough knowledge of Equal Opportunity practices and recruiting compliance practices.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook.
• U.S. Citizenship Required.
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Preferred:
• Position requires 3-6 years of recruiting experience.
• Previous experience with working for a Defense Contractor, U.S. Military Logistics and Information Systems is highly desired.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing creative sourcing strategies; adept at online sourcing including newer virtual communities.
• Excellent organization, time and project management skills; able to manage multiple competing priorities; dependable with attendance and deliverables and work effectively under pressure and against hard deadlines.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance is required for continued employment; US Citizenship is required.
