Storage Team Lead

Fantastic Job in Mesquite, TX!Our DFW client is seeking a Team lead of the enterprise Storage group. The ideal candidate will ensure all projects are completed on time with meet all expectations for performance and availability. Ensure that management is aware of any potential problems and storage is available when needed. 60%-Lead storage team to ensure that all storage is provisioned on time as required by projects and normal growth. This includes NAS, SAN and TSM growth. This position also requires that applicant can also provision San Storage on HDS and HP San environments utilizing Brocade 12000 and 48000 San switches. Installation of Storage Essentials software on storage management server and scheduling agents to be distributed to the application and Database servers. 20%-Produce charts and graphs as required to show storage growth by tier's of storage for NAS/SAN and TSM. Ensure that volume metrics and Unit Costing are completed on time and accurately. 20%-Work with Enterprise storage manager and Storage Project Manager to ensure that storage needs are met for all clients. Contribute to help manage storage cost while still making sure all SLA's and storage commitments are being met for all Clients. Required Experience Experienced knowledge of the storage Hardware architecture HP & HDS storage arrays, Brocade San Switches and all San related Software Ability to understand business objectives and what it takes to meet those objectives Good Leadership and interpersonal skills Good presentation skills Ability to work with management outside of immediate area to understand issues and work to resolve those issue or problems Complete Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on storage related problems Very good understanding of storage virtualization Excellent knowledge for APP-IQ or equivalent Storage Monitoring software Must be able to lead team of storage professionals Must be able to provide feedback to manager on projects and tasks that the team is undertaking via weekly status report Lead the storage team by interacting with Infrastructure Project Managers, and Storage Project Manager Must also interact with Network Engineers, Storage Vendors, Server Engineers, Application managers, and DBA's Attend weekly RCA meetings as required to explain storage related issues and what is being done to keep the problem from reoccurring Must be able to solve Complex Storage problems related to performance and availability Must be able to direct other members of the team (FO and BO) in problem solving and assist them to ensure that all SLA's are met Must be able to develop action plans for mitigation of problems Should be able to work with minimal supervision and direct team to achieve required financial and technical goalsRequired Skills Storage Hardware Brocade SAN NAS TSM Virtualization Team LeadBenefits/Perks Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance for Full-time W2 Consultants Supplemental Disability and Long-Term Care Insurance, Dependent Care Assistance 401(k) with Roth feature 529 Educational Savings Plan Over 1,800 Free e-Learning Courses 5,000 Technical BooksApplication RequirementsClient will only consider local candidates.
