Purpose: Participate in design review and give recommendation to development team; Develop all necessary SQE documents include but not limited to, component qualification plan, supplier quality requirement and expectation, component reliability plan, etc; Perform periodic supplier audit and risk assessment; Manage first article inspection process, component qualification includes manufacturing process verification; Approve supplier manufacturing/test/inspection plans and procedures; Implement real time WIP and failure tracking process at supplier sites; Work closely with tier one supplier to sustain and improve component quality; Establish component level ORT at factory and drive quality improvement; Correlate and standardize test and inspection process among field repair, CM, sub tier supplier; Apply 6 sigma to drive quality and process improvement; Define and automate supplier data collection and reporting; Drive failure analysis and corrective actions. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Solid technical background in Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA) and Electro-mechanical components (PSU, Battery, Charger, Interconnect, Fan), JOB REQUIREMENTS: · Thorough understanding of component/subassembly supplier manufacturing/test/inspection processes; · Experience in component reliability testing (HALT, HASS, ORT); · General knowledge of CM manufacturing/test/inspection processes; · Hands-on troubleshooting experience preferred; · Familiar with destructive and non-destructive failure analysis methodology; · Ability to identify root cause and work with T2 supplier to drive CAPA; · Knowledge of modern quality techniques (6 sigma, FMEA, DOE, SPC, DFX); · Good analytic skill in quality data; REQUIRED (MUST-HAVE) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: · Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; · 3 + years experience in supplier quality or component engineering required; · 5+ years experience in PCBA design or manufacturing · Strong understanding of statistical control, failure rate and reliability prediction; · Excellent verbal and communication skills; · Ability to work independently and under pressure; Must be a team player · Travel in Asia and to Redmond WA USA is required.
