JOB SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for overall company Inventory levels, turns, obsolescence minimizing and stock availability, working towards the goal of delivering quality goods to customers in a timely manor utilizing minimum resources.

 

This position reduces on-hand inventory to the lowest feasible levels consistent with customer service objectives, reduces materials costs to the lowest feasible levels consistent with quality objectives, and manages all materials functions required for support of operations.

 



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans, directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in purchasing and distributing raw materials, finished goods, and supplies for production and plant operations.Plans, directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in material planning and scheduling.Manages inventory of materials and finished product to maintain required supply.Monitors material and supply inventories through computer information systems.Applies statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements.Directs the maintenance of inventory records, replenishment of stock, and planning for future requirements based on orders, production schedules and forecasts.Directs and formulates procedures and policies to make certain materials are available or delivered when needed.Supports the management of incoming and outgoing movement and storage of materials.Supervises materials management analyst employees.Interacts with marketing and production concerning current and future materials requirements for efficient production and optimum levels of customer service.Recommends methods for improving efficiency and reducing inventory of raw materials, finished goods and work-in-process while maintaining a high level of on-time delivery.Confers with management and production supervision to implement plans and recommendations for cost analysis and variance control.Performs other duties as required.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Management

 

Certification/License:

 

Experience:

Minimum four years supervisory experience

Experience in the use of multiple warehouse systems including SAP
