System Administrator I

JOB SUMMARY:

Maintains existing or proposed local computer and telecommunication systems.  Recommends appropriate hardware and/or software systems based on user needs.  Installs computer and computer related hardware and software.  Assists users with problem resolution.

 

Monitors the operations of computer, network and telecommunication systems.  Provides system management and operation support in support of local manufacturing and business activities.  Assists in the company-wide set up and local implementation of standards for computer operation.

 Troubleshoots and resolves problems associated with local network and assists with wide area network testing and repairs.  Has responsibility for dealing with local hardware and software vendors and technical support issues.

Qualifications


BS in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.Comprehensive technical expertise disciplines such as, but not limited to: Computer Systems Architecture, Applications SystemsExperience should be in a Microsoft and Cisco environment, including, but not limited to Windows XP, Vista, Server 2003 R2, 2008; .net, and Cisco IP-Telephony.Proven ability to work in a lean environment.Strong organizational and communication skills.
Must be flexible in working hours.
