Systems Administrator / Sales Engineer

Paradigm Technology, a leading provider of IT products and services to businesses throughout the United States, has an opening for a Sales Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ. This individual will focus on providing customer solutions through strategic selling, configuration/design, and technical support. This position will need to possess an in depth understanding of Paradigm's products/offerings as it relates to the customer’s requirements and help assist with developing the best solution for the customer.  The engineer will be involved in customer sales calls, solution development, and other pre/post-sales activities for a broad range of systems and storage solutions and related projects. Areas of focus for systems include IBM System p, System x, BladeCenter, and SAN/NAS storage technologies as well as, virtualization, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.

Required Skills: Broad experience with IBM System pAt least two years of virtualization experienceOver five years of systems and storage experience, including some or all the following technologies:
EMC & IBM storage technologies, backup software (Tivoli); Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) including disk, tape, backup, and archival solutions; Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, Linux, and Windows. Also familiarity with networking technologies is preferred.At least two years of pre-sales experience including customer calls, solution development, and quote developmentFamiliarity with blade server technologyExperience in a Value Added Reseller (VAR) or Business Partner a plusSolid verbal and written communications skills, presentation skills a mustExcellent customer interfacing and problem solving skillsIndustry certifications a plus
