System Engineer (Mid-Level)

We are currently reviewing resumes for a System Engineer position.  This will have strong knowledge of all areas of server computer hardware support including installation of hardware components and diagnostics of hardware issues.

 

Working as part of the server technical support team to manage, support, install and run diagnostics on server hardware in the non-production test labs. Performs maintenance on existing operating systems and hardware. Resource for system escalation issues. Documents platform standards and processes for ongoing operations. Candidates with more experience may be expected to do some design and engineering.

Server Administration and Support in a Linux and/or Windows Server (2000 & 2003) environment. 3-5 years experience with servers, preferably Dell or HP. LAN networking skills are a plus. TCP/IP, Ethernet, SCSI, RAID, Etc.
