Systems Administrator (MUST ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE)

Design, development and implement tasks for system administration functions. Assist and support with design, development and integration activities in the Contractor Development Facility (CDF), Mission Control Station (MCS) and Interim Mission Control Station Backup (IMCSB).  Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. 

Must have a minimum of an active secret clearance!!!

Responsibilities:Supporting SGI users (Developers & Testers).Partitioning disk drives. Creating file systems .Creating and managing logical disk volumes and partitions.Performing file system backup and recovery procedures.Installing system and application software products (COTS).Performing basic system and network troubleshooting. Performing trade studies and providing recommendations for network equipment. Integrating and designing LANs, including configuring Ethernet Switches, Routers and corresponding Network Management software.Monitoring systems. Reconfiguring and debugging Kernel problems.Monitoring key network parameters using RMON, Spectrum Element Manager, and SGI system monitoring tools such as Performance CO-Pilot.Managing and tuning Memory parameters. Managing and tuning Swap space/usage. Developing and implementing System security concepts.Skills: Unix, Linux,Windows, AIX, LDAP, TeMip (a plus), scripting, spirals, etc.Must be able to work in a team environment and have excellent communication skills.
