Job type: exempt, full time
Location: San Francisco
Base salary: $80,000 – $90,000 plus competitive benefits and bonuses

Overall Responsibilities:
Individuals in this position work at a technical level with an understanding of UNIX, Linux, Windows, Oracle, and Application Server technologies. Incumbents interact with development teams and professional services teams.

Key areas of responsibility:
•  Integration into development team as technical support administrator
•  Installation, configuration, administration, maintenance and monitoring of application, web and database servers
•  Provide technical and end-user support for application, web and database server related issues
•  Utilize our salesforce.com based support case management system
•  Create documentation and KB articles

Required skills and attributes:
•  Excellent knowledge installing, configuring and maintaining:
- Unix/Linux OS environments
- Oracle 9i and 10g database environments
•  Good knowledge installing, configuring and maintaining:
- Windows Server environments
- JBoss on both Unix/Linux and Window
- Java JDK on both Unix/Linux and Windows
- Apache / Tomcat on both Unix/Linux and Windows
•  Good understanding of deployment and maintenance of think client “N-tier” applications
•  Outstanding people and customer service skills
•  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, be effective in teams both as a member and leader
•  Ability to quickly and accurately pinpoint and troubleshoot technical problems in a fast-pace and complex customer support environment

Desired skills and attributes:
•  Experience with VMware
•  Working knowledge of load balancer setup
•  Network and Application security

Experience/Education:
•  Bachelors Degree or IT related diploma 
•  Minimum of five years overall technical support and administration
•  Minimum of two years experience as a Systems Administrator or DBA
