Systems Analyst II - Research Computing Core

The Cleveland Clinic is internationally recognized for its leadership in quality patient care, education and research, and is ranked as one of the nation’s top hospitals by U.S.News and World Report. We currently have an opportunity available for a Systems Analyst II – Research Computing Services.

The qualified candidate will be responsible for working on systems analysis level projects simultaneously with some programming, and assisting with the design, testing, control and implementation of new systems, major systems changes, modifications and software implementation. The candidate will assure the quality of the delivered system, provide analytical and technical support, assist with training and provide input regarding proposed specified projects.


Required Skills:
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience or Associate’s degree and 2 years’ experience, and the ability to understand the different hardware platforms and the advantages/disadvantages of each. Expertise in installation and desktop support in one of the following areas: Windows, Macintosh, Unix (Linux/Solaris/Irix) and strong analytical and technical skills are also required. Other requisites include the ability to translate end-user problem descriptions into problem solutions and work with server administrators to troubleshoot desktop system to server communication issues. Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking and the ability to lift 20 lbs. and push a cart loaded with 50 lbs. of equipment also required.
