Systems Engineer III – Applications (2 positions)

 

Special Metals Corporation is the World’s leading nickel alloy company. There is a requirement for a Systems Engineer III in the Applications group of Information Technology at the Huntington, West Virginia location.  This senior position requires hands on application development with Oracle tools for application extensions, interfaces, complex custom reports, and data warehouse extractions in an Oracle ERP environment (Finance and Manufacturing).  The successful candidate must have the ability to define requirements with users, analyze, design, construct, test, document, and maintain computer applications. The ability to lead teams and manage project plans is a necessity. 

 

Requirements:

·  Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

·  Minimum of 5 years of technical application development experience using Oracle Development Tools including Developer/2000 Reports and Forms and PL/SQL preferably in a Unix environment.Oracle ERP Applications (Finance and Manufacturing) experience is preferred.

 

All applicants must possess the ability to work on their own initiative to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Must be well organized with good prioritization skills. The ability to understand a business problem and act upon it are a necessity. Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills are required to work with all levels of staff.
