Systems Specialist

We are seeking a Systems Specialist for our Maple Grove MN branch. 

 

This position has dual role responsibilities for applications systems design and front end support which include, but are not limited to; working closely with the sales team with assisting in pre-bid proposal review, system design, system start-up, customer and employee product training, front end system support, and other duties and tasks as assigned.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

 

· Responsible for sales support and review of the functionality and design of systems proposed by sales or consultants as assigned by the engineering manager.

· Responsible for system design in close coordination with the project managers.

· Responsible for system configurations which include; computer hardware, operating systems,

applications, device drivers, and network configurations.

· Responsible for loading the client’s access control system database.

· Responsible for the start up, test, and debug of systems to ensure that all aspects of the system are working, documented, and reporting properly.

· Responsible for customer and employee product training.

· Responsible for front end system support including data base services, firmware and software upgrades.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



 4+ years working in the electronic field where AC/DC theory is used on a daily basis. 4+ years working with computers at the operating system level.Knowledge spread sheet and word processing computer applications.Understanding of current network technology, telecommunications, PLC and relay logic.Must be able to read, understand, and apply technical manuals, plan drawings, and schematics. Knowledge of card access, video and security systems.Excellent verbal and written communication.Strong customer orientationResults driven individual, high energy, self starter.
