Tech Support Company InformationWe are a local staffing organization specializing in the Information Technology industry.  We have relationships with many Fortune 500 clients as well as smaller companies throughout the United States.  Job DescriptionOur customer, a worldwide leader in the communications industry, is currently looking to grow its Tier 1 and Tier 2 support center.  Position will report into technical support operations organization. Primary Responsibilities Receives and/or places telephone calls to handle any/all aspects of customer accounts, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.  Provide in depth-technical configuration and troubleshooting assistance. Answers inquiries, resolves problems, promotes and sells products/services Cultivates and maintains on-going customer relationships Job Qualifications Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology including: Thorough knowledge (3 years) of major personal computer operating systems including installation and configuration of hardware and software In-depth understanding of TCP/IP networking including routing protocols, OSI model, port and protocol based firewalls, 802.11 wireless standards, programming (shell, Basic, C) languages Knowledge and/or understanding/experience with DSL hardware and/or networking devices. Ability to differentiate between major broadband technologies.
