Technical Consultant

Applied Economics Consulting Group, Inc. (AECGI) is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. We are a growing consulting company with Fortune 500 class clients in energy, insurance, technology, and manufacturing. The Technical Consultant will be responsible for all data intensive aspects of our business. This will include database administration, SQL querying and programming, reporting, data conversion, data analysis, data QC, interfacing with clients on technical matters, and acting as the technical lead on projects.

 

The following are required for this position:

 A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, economics, business, finance, or mathExperience with SQL ServerProficiency with SQL programming (T-SQL preferred)Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (C# preferred)Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel and Access)The ability to travel on a very limited basis (< 10%)

 

The following are preferred:

 

·  Analysis Services, OLAP and data warehousing

·  SAS (or an equivalent statistical analysis package)

·  ARCView GIS

·  ASP.NET

·  Prior experience with a management or IT consulting company
