The successful Technical Lead will be a dynamic hands-on leader able to simultaneously work as a developer, a strategist, an architect, a project and department manager, and an individual contributor to the Company’s success.

 

Experience / Skills

 

* Experience designing, architecting and developing high-volume, scalable web applications and infrastructure

* Experience with Java, Ruby on Rails

* Experience managing and directing the efforts of technical staff to realize product vision

* Experience with the full life cycle of application development, from product conceptualization through implementation

* Experience with rapid development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Extreme Programming)

* Experience with virtual worlds, social networking tools, 3D game development a big plus!



 

Responsibilities

 

* Be part of the technical creation of an exciting new product, including the architecture, design, development, testing, production release and maintenance

* Define a state-of-the-art hardware architecture and infrastructure

* Create appropriate internal processes to insure product quality

* Utilize experience to anticipate issues and ensure project stays on schedule

 

7+ years of successful software industry experience. 5+ years successful experience spearheading the design, development and implementation of large-scale web applications. You must be able to point to a track record of successful, large-scale software projects.  Position requires excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead a small team of software engineers. BS degree in CS (or equivalent) required.
