Technical Product Manager - own projects start to finish; skill set as important as experience

If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, technical savvy, and solid leadership skills, this position offers you the opportunity to "own" intriguing and challenging projects from business case to execution. You'll be able to make a significant impact as you drive product development projects and facilitate communication between our Product and Technical teams, interacting with just about all areas of our organization as well as with key customers. The products you'll help manage are unique -- they combine features from our core technologies and platforms and are "packaged" to provide differentiation in a variety of vertical markets.

While you'll need to have some experience in product management, we're less interested in years of experience and more interested in a particular skill set. We're looking for a professional who is well versed in defining market requirements and packaging features into products, very comfortable with technology, and who can think strategically and act tactically. You'll need a demonstrated ability not only to lead cross-functional teams, but also to articulate product requirements at a fairly technical level. In addition, you'll need a degree of flexibility: you'll help shape this newly created role in a constantly evolving department.
