Technical Product Support Specialist

 

 

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the nation’s leading youth-mentoring organization, is actively seeking candidates for our Technical Product Support Specialist position located in our National office in Center City Philadelphia.

 

The Technical Product Support Specialist contributes to the successful implementation and ongoing support of an enterprise fund development system for BBBS agencies.

 

Responsibilities:

 

§ Oversees data conversions from one fund development database to another. Acts as a day-to-day interface between agencies and system vendor to resolve issues. Executes testing plans and engages in audits to maximize the integrity and quality of the converted data. 

§ Provides Tier II support for ongoing database operations and customer service – responds to inquiries related to fund development enterprise system routed through helpdesk; populates knowledgebase regarding same.

§ Configures the database to drive workflow – examples: build “opportunities”; advise agencies on database configuration data streams from input to output.

§ Works with BBBSA’s Learning and Development staff to ensure that fund development system training meets the needs of agencies. 

§ Working with Director of Philanthropy Information Services, clearly articulates business requirements to vendor based on integration of end user needs with system functionality.  Ensures that these requirements are effectively deployed in the system. 

§ Identifies end user needs (BBBS agencies and BBBSA) through focus groups, meetings and research in areas such as workflow, work outputs, reporting and metrics relative to fund development system functionality.

 

 

Requirements:

 

§ Associates Degree in Computer Science and/or Information Technology is required. Bachelors degree in related field is preferred

§ 2+ years related work experience required. 4 years of related work experience for degree.

§ Relevant work experience includes development; fundraising; data processing and/or statistical analysis

§ Experience in database set-up, querying and management

§ Intermediate Excel spreadsheet skills in importing, exporting and managing data

§ Strong verbal and written communications skills. The ability to articulate complex information to end-users is desired
