Job Description Job Title: Technical Support Analyst Job Description: This position is responsible for providing world-class application end user support to our Hyperion Support Delivery Group. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Apply strong technical, communication and customer service skills to resolve incoming technical Service Requests.· Escalate to Support Management and/or Engineering when needed· Log and track customer call information and troubleshooting activity in a central call tracking system.· Assume ownership of assigned Service Requests, until a resolution is delivered.· Utilize multiple internal systems as well as web content to research and apply known solutions. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: · Bachelors in a technical field or equivalent combination of educational and professional experience in a software/support environment.· 2+ years experience developing and supporting software on Windows (NT, 2000, 2003, XP, VISTA) and UNIX (Solaris, HPUX, AIX, LINUX) Operating Systems.· Experience with Application Servers, such as WebLogic and Websphere are a plus.· Knowledge of administration and troubleshooting on Windows, UNIX, Oracle, SQL Server, MSDE, DB2, Internet (WWW, email, FTP), and MS Office are beneficial. · Experience with Hyperion support is a plus· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential. · Should be a self-starter, highly motivated, and have the ability to multi-task problems, and manage time wisely.· Ability to work with the customer, keeping them informed of progress, and providing a resolution that is timely and agreeable.· Must be flexible, able to function in high-stress situations, demonstrates a ‘whatever it takes to get the job done’ attitude. LOCATION: Fairborn, OH Travel Component:To effectively fill this role, the preferred candidate shall be required to travel up to __5__%. (Travel is a rarity).
