We are currently seeking applicants for a Technical Support Associate position to join our 140-person Princeton, NJ office. The position will support users in the Princeton office, as well as remotely supporting New York, Philadelphia, Boston & Toronto office users. Weekly travel to the Philadelphia and New York offices will also be required, as will occasional travel to Boston and Toronto. Qualified candidates will possess the skills detailed below and relevant work experience.
Technical Support Associates support the work activities of the Network Administrator, maintaining a user environment consisting of laptop and desktop computers running the standard suite of business applications. As a Technical Support Associate, you will:
Configure computer hardware and software, as well as troubleshoot related problems;
Complete some administrative tasks, such as initiating hardware repairs, assisting with organizational efforts and asset management;
IT team projects as assigned.
Successful Technical Support Associates possess the following characteristics:
BS/BA with record of high academic achievement
A+ certification or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator
Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment
Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment
Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills
Strong customer service skills
Technical expectations include :
Knowledge and experience with PC desktop support functions relative to laptop and desktop computers.
Installation and configuration of business application software (i.e. MS Windows XP/Vista, MS Office XP/2007, Lotus Notes, Internet Explorer, etc.).
Technical Support tools: Norton Ghost, VNC
Proficiency in PC hardware configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance.
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Wireless Networking (client side), Cisco IP Telephony
Experience in troubleshooting various forms of software problems (e.g. operating system and application programs)
