Join our Information Technology Team based at our corporate office near Halsted and North Ave. Our IT team is seeking a Technical Support Intern who is willing to get the job done in a fast-paced, driven environment. As a Technical Support Intern, you will provide technical support (hardware/software) to end users, deliver solutions and provide excellent customer service.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Provide level-I PC Desktop and laptop support. Perform IT related tasks and projects under supervision including IT inventory and storage area maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):

Basic Desktop and Laptop support including rollout and troubleshoot. Analyzes current and proposed departmental/end user hardware and software issues to resolve computer application and system problems. Sets up and troubleshoot printer issues. Installs and supports wireless modems and VPN for remote users. Equipment configuration for new employees, conducts basic training on LAN access, Outlook Express, VPN access and Verizon wireless AirCards usage. Maintain a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems; participate in professional development activities as appropriate. Maintains applicable records including user lists, user accounts and security, as well as equipment inventory. Documents all work in ticket administration application (Quickbase). Provides technical guidance and instruction on the use of computer technologies.
