Job Summary



Ensure that the Company's core systems along with data, telecom, and other networks are resilient, available, scalable and secure.

Job ResponsibilitiesMaintain server application software and operating systems Ensure operation and availability of network services including Active Directory, DNS, remote access and enterprise messaging Maintain security, integrity, and data recovery strategies Manage wired and wireless data network and infrastructure Evaluate and recommend system enhancements to improve operational efficiencies Participate in planning and acquisition of hardware, software, and maintenance contracts for servers and printers Manage enterprise server licensing Design and implement high-availability Windows systems making use of clustering, shared storage, and virtualization solutions Provide Tier II and Tier III assistance with user support issues/incidents as they arise Participate in the management and maintenance of the campus Data Center Establish/recommend policies on system use and services Ability to effectively adopt and integrate new technologies Support mobile/remote workers (20% of workforce)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Industry Certifications:MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Engineer) Network, server and desktop OS certification

Three Years Experience in:Windows Server MS-SQL MS Exchange (installation and maintenance)

Additional Experience in:Operational and implementation expertise delivering external facing enterprise-level technology solutions Understanding common network protocols and operating systems along with their relevant security issues Network security standards and practices including traffic monitoring, anti-virus, patch management, and remote access Windows server performance tuning, setting policies, configuring firewalls, monitoring system logs, and intrusion detection software Blackberry Enterprise Server Microsoft SharePoint Juniper/Netscreen firewalls Commodity and Cisco switches NEC Phone switch Captaris Fax software
