Technical Trainer

Technical Trainer/Customer Support/Software Tester: The trainer will be responsible for ensuring high quality course delivery, creation and maintenance of course documentation plus technical support to the Customer staff and affiliates world-wide.  The trainer will be responsible for providing classroom training, specialized training, one-on-one training, web-base training and on demand training on Microsoft Office applications, MS Outlook, handheld devices, Customer custom built applications and other applications as required.   Also, the trainer will be responsible for resolving call records and covering the SASDesk (help desk) as needed.  The trainer will work with the system analysts, software developers, and/or infra-structure team when software testing is necessary.  The trainer will provide feedback on application errors and work with the necessary team for resolution.

 

As a trainer, you must be able to apply the principles of adult learning, classroom management and group dynamics.  Select and use a variety of instructional methods.  Develop and use questions to test for understanding.  Listen and respond to questions effectively.  Give and receive constructive feedback.

A Plus, but not required:SalesforceHEATSnag-itMacintosh systems Active DirectoryMicrosoft Office 2007Position Specific Duties and Responsibilities: ·  Instructs and supports Microsoft Office XP and 2003 applications, Customer Membership Programs, Affiliate Programs and Reporting Tools. ·  Recommends enhancements and participates in modifying program content and level of instruction.  ·  Ensures training is provided to participants effectively.  ·  Completes administrative tasks and implements recommended changes per evaluation forms.·  Meet with help desk analysts regularly to discuss technical challenges and possible problem areas for users.·  Excellent communication and presentation skills are required, including ability to communicate with all levels of staff.  Labor union experience is a plus. ·  Provide customer support when not performing classroom training·  Perform testing on the Membership and Affiliate software based on test scripts provided by the system analyst and others.  At times, the trainer will be required to create test scripts.·  Develop training materials.
