Technology Support Manager

 

New Breed Corporations, headquartered in Greensboro, NC, is a third-party logistics service provider (3PL) that helps companies design and operate efficient supply chains. We manage millions of square feet of warehouse space across more than 50 distribution centers in the U.S. and employ more than 4000 people. Services range from distribution center operations and transportation management to highly sophisticated and technology-focused solutions involving product assembly, vendor managed inventory, reverse logistics and repair.

 

We are seeking an experienced Technology Support Manager as we pursue aggressive growth plans in Ft. Worth, TX.

 

Summary of Functions

 

Provides guidance to and sets routine work assignments for Support Center personnel. In general, this will cover all activities relating to providing level one support for all test and production network, telecommunications, and computer systems operated by New Breed Technology Service Group, as well as the applications and services hosted on these systems.  Responsible for providing desktop computer support, software asset management, hardware asset management, and vendor support management.  Monitors automated production system operations and takes routine and prescribed corrective actions to restore operations upon failure. Performs scripted system upgrades administration processes. Escalates issues to management within established timeframes.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

 Provides leadership and supervision to the sites technical support team members and contractors. Monitors network systems and takes appropriate action to ensure excellent performance, availability, and security Manages and coordinates with Corporate TSG maintenance, changes, and upgrades of assigned computer and network systems Manages and coordinates with Corporate TSG the site network cabling while working with the site Operations and third party service providers Manages PBX, phone handsets, and voice mail systems at the site Provides desktop and RF device implementation and support for the site Provides second-tier support to Support Center. Completes work necessary to resolve assigned tickets within service windows and updates information in the system to completely describe ticket resolution. Refers problems beyond level two capabilities to level three service providers.

 

 

Experience Required

 

Four (4) years minimum systems technology experience required, preferably with Windows and Unix Operating Systems; Cisco Networks, and Oracle Databases.
