Capable of leading a mid size team and accounting for their progress and activities while infusing their existing processes with innovative ideas. Must be a US Citizen, requires obtaining a security clearance.COMPETENCIES/SKILLS Familiar with a variety of software test concepts, practices, procedures and methodologies. Strong competency working with the Mercury test tool products including Test Director and Quick Test Pro. Capable of multi tasking at the individual level as well as the team planning level. Prior experience working in a Microsoft 2003 Server, SQL 2000 and Exchange 2003 environments. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills a must. Have effective operational management skills.RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for developing, drafting, writing and editing test plans and reports. Specify, develop and manage multiple test environments. Develops, maintains, and upgrades automated test scripts for theapplication as well as the external interfaces. Experienced in developing and marinating test Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Participates in creating and reviewing technical proposals; and providing other documents as requested in support ofclient requirements. Interfaces with personnel to coordinate meetings, maintain logs, records and files, and provide support to theHelp desk and Operations staff. Capable of creating a career path with training recommendations for team members. Performs annual evaluations of staff members and leads the selection efforts of additional staff. Assists in budgetary and financial management. Meets deadlines and ensures products match customer requirements and design specifications. Performs other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS Applicant must have a working knowledge of full software life cycle methodology and ability to follow industry standards and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Candidate must have6-8 years of programming and testing experience. Candidate must have2-4years testing management experience. Experience in web-based software development desired. Experience may be substituted for education. A strong technical background, communications skills and good interpersonal skills are a must in order to succeed in this role. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field preferred Seven or more years of network testing experience Must be a US Citizen, requires obtaining a security clearance.
