To learn more, visit http://www.lionbridge.comPosition Description This position requires an experienced Test Lead who possesses excellent internal and external communication, leadership, client facing skills and project oversight abilities. This position will be onsite at the client’s location and the individual filling this role will need to have a strong Quality Assurance (QA) and software testing background. This position is a member of the testing group who has the responsibility for both organizing and managing a long-term project and client relationship. This position serves as an escalation path for project and quality-related issues. The Test Lead is a key resource for establishing/implementing sound QA practices and testing methodologies, defining and implementing excellent communication channels both internally and externally and being a primary escalation point for project and personnel issues while also mentoring the team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes, but is not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prioritize multiple requests while meeting numerous deadlines. Write, review, and edit test plans and test cases against all requirements; mentor others in writing, reviewing and revising test cases. Evaluate NetMon captures and determine if network traffic is correct, as defined by requirements documentation. Develop and nurture Client relationship to ensure future business. Provide timely and accurate deliverables. Design and implement custom process improvements, as needed. Establish and manage multiple project workflows for Client. Communications with offshore teams.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position will assist Project and Business Unit Managers in supervising teams (including onshore and offshore) and meeting deliverables. The Test Lead will be accountable to Client for team deliverables and quality control. They will assist in administrative management of staff, assigning and directing work and resolving complaints and problems.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Requires at least 4 years directly related Test Lead experience with at least 2 years management experience in the Quality Assurance/Testing field. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred.TECHNICAL SKILLS Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel. Strong understanding of Quality Assurance / software testing principles and test tools preferred. Have a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as well as a technical understanding of multiple operating systems. In addition, they will possess the ability to create formal test plans, manual test cases and other supporting technical documentation from Client-supplied specifications.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong knowledge of network analyzer tools, such as NetMon or Ethereal. Ability to analyze network traffic. Ability to read, interpret, and write technical documents such as process descriptions, test plans, defects and reports (Daily, Weekly, Executive and/or Final). Ability to assess the ultimate goals of the Client, write and provide test plans to the Client. Ability to create test cases based on requirements documentation. Knowledge in requirements analysis Ability to coordinate multiple work requests, assign to appropriate teams/resources, and return deliverables with very short turnaround times. Ability to clearly communicate/articulate complex technical concepts to Clients and/or employees of the organization, including offshore teams Ability to respond to technical inquiries and/or issues. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to isolate defects and give potential solutions for those defects. Ability to maintain flexibility to changing work demands. Excellent spoken and written communication and documentation skills. Experience with network and/or protocol testing Ability to setup test environments Knowledge of MS Outlook and Exchange functionality (user level) OTHER REQUIREMENTS Must have experience creating and presenting ideas to management and writing business correspondence.
