Provides network and security engineering support with an expert knowledge of IA products and IA-enabling products such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, Open source data, Net flow analysis, etc. Based on a review of current IA policy, doctrine and regulations provide recommendations for defining the architecture of a trusted access point for approved Internet connection providers. Applies knowledge of current IA vulnerabilities and exploits at the national IA architecture. Reviews and recommends IA solutions to customer implementation plans based on an understanding of how products and services interrelate and support the IA mission and the viewpoints of the consumers of those products and services. Analyzes and recommends resolution of IA problems based on knowledge of the major IA products and services, an understanding of their limitations, and a expert knowledge of the disciplines of IA.Must be knowledgeable with TCP/IP & Networking & Common IP Ports & Sub-netting. Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience with Security architecture and infrastructure products (firewalls, IDS, AV, CF). Must have strong background and able to demonstrate knowledge in network routing, architecture, etc Must know how to secure an infrastructure and applications Knowledge of best practices for securing a network such as placement of firewalls, IDS, HIDS, etc Operational experience in security or information technology (used to firefighting /troubleshooting) Knows how to conduct vulnerability assessments or network penetration tests. Knowledgeable on the use of network mapping/scanning tools, methods of network attach, and remediation steps for such attack vectors Draft and conduct daily briefings and situational awareness reports Candidates will ideally possess experience working in a security operations center, performing system administration and incident response duties in a hands-on capacity, with responsibility for handling incidents.
