Tuxedo AdmininstratorColumbia, MDcontract openingJob Duties & Responsibilities:The systems engineer manages the implementation and support of TUXEDO and WEBLOGIC across multiple applications. The right person has to have TUXEDO experience in the role of an adminitrator.Individuals in this role serve as a liaison between Operations, Infrastructure and Application Development regarding the implementation and maintenance of the environments, evolves existing processes to effect support for both development and production environments, monitors log files, performance issues and the production environment for mission critical systems.Gains understanding of the functionality of the business area applications and assists in tailoring the environment to meet the users' needs. Serves as a member of the development team, participating in and validating technology decisions.Deploy, manage, monitor and maintain TUXEDO/WEBLOGIC Enterprise Middleware (this is not a development role)Provide 2nd and 3rd level escalation and rotating on-call support.This individual will function as one of the subject matter experts for the middleware environment.Required Skills:* Experience with TUXEDO and WEBLOGIC Middleware* 8 years of applicable/related experience or 2 years equivalent experience and 4-year degree in Computer-related field* Unix/Linux administration* Moderate scripting skills: Any of VBScript, Java/JScript, XML, PERL, etc* Extensive experience designing logical and physical application and data flow diagrams* Effective interpersonal and communication skills* # of Years Required: 5Preferred Skills:* Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture* Basic understanding of TCP/IP Networks.* Basic understanding of load balancing and firewalls.* Understanding of high availability solutions/technologies.* Document processes and procedures supporting this roleRequired Education:4-year degree in Computer-related field Apply Now Location: COLUMBIAStatus: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/ProjectJob Category: IT/Software DevelopmentCareer Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) About COMSYS COMSYS IT Partners, Inc.
