The Computer Science Department Computing Facility is looking for dedicated system administrators to join our team. CSCF provides high quality service to the Computer Science Department community in software, hardware and networking support to further our academic research and education missions. Department resources include nearly 1,000 computer systems running linux, Sun OS, Mac OS X, and Windows 2000 & XP on wired and wireless networks. One to three positions.The Software Specialist 1 is responsible for UNIX system administration and networking. Experience in programming software systems in languages such as C (C, C++, Objective-C), JAVA, and PHP, and shell scripting languages like csh, bash, or Perl. Requires a B.S. in Computer Science or related field and 2-4 years experience; M.S. Preferred. MAC and PC experience is a plus.
