UNIX Administrator/Security Specialist

At CIBER we believe our employees are our most valuable asset.  CIBER, Inc. offers a complete range of benefits which include health, dental, vision, life insurance, stock options, ESSP, STD, LTD, 401(k), tuition & training reimbursement, referral bonus and PTO/holiday pay.  CIBER will also sponsor an H-1 if needed and also can provide sponsorship for permanent residency.  www.CIBER.com  Job Description / Required skills:CIBER Inc currently has (1) position available for a UNIX Security Specialist for a long-term stable opportunity located in Bloomington, IL. Scope of work:· Assisting/consulting with various project/service efforts to handle or facilitate UNIX Security related topics/issues up to and including user, group and account mgt· Address/Resolve UNIX security related issues escalated to the UNIX security problem management team· Develop and update documentation relating to UNIX security· Support and uphold security policies and standards as they relate to the UNIX environment· Provide guidance and assistance to UNIX security incident management and access administration areas· Conduct industry research in technologies and policies relating to UNIX security· Effective communication, engagement, and navigation of the organization in completing expected work assignments  Qualifications and skills:Experience in UNIX operating system administration and security to include the following capabilities:· Installing, operating and maintaining UNIX systems (AIX, HP-UX, Linux)· UNIX Scripting (shell, Perl, .etc)· Understands system auditing· Enterprise level administration and automation· Server hardening techniques, tools, and vulnerability prevention and detection Additional technical experiences a plus but not required:· Administration and security of WebSphere V5 and its components· Administration and security of Apache/HIS Other required skills:· Experience with systems/project development methodologies/lifecycles· Excellent interpersonal communication and problem solving skills · Ability to create clear technical documentation and knowledge-base solutions· Willingness to provide consulting for various project efforts to handle or facilitate UNIX Security related topics/issues· Conduct industry research in technologies and policies relating to UNIX security CIBER, Inc.
