Dell and Gateway hardware Break/Fix. Travel to customer sites to complete daily, scheduled service calls and use guided scripts to perform routine field activities such as installing, maintaining and repairing company and multi-vendor systems which include hardware, software and networking products as well as operating systems. Duties include installing and optimizing Hardware, Software and Networking products and configurations and ensuring customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventative maintenance and configurations which may impact product performance. THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION A+ IT Essentials certification is required. If you do not currently have one, you will be required to obtain one within a 90 day period of employment. Unisys Technical Services will provide the training material and voucher. This position requires you have reliable transportation, valid drivers license and auto insurance. Mileage reimbursement is provided. Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Handle calls, install and service PCs, and PC peripherals and/or electronic equipment Take service calls and perform incident specific activities as directed by Help Desk, Service Desk or script. Work under close supervision. Perform routine install, move, add and change also known as IMAC as part of a directed team. Perform scripted image loading, unit diagnostics and replaceable unit swapping Run basic diagnostics and perform basic module replacement on PCs, servers and peripherals Perform preventative maintenance activities on certain products as directed Maintain a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanor and dress. Insure customer satisfaction throughout the service delivery transaction Technical & Behavioral Skills Desired Technical & Behavioral Skills: General knowledge of desktop hardware and software including basic knowledge of Microsoft applications Basic mechanical skills and understanding of electro static discharge (ESD) procedures Training and/or vendor certifications as required including completion of Core Training Ability to resolve basic/non-complex problems as directed An extensive background check is required which will include client and/or governmental clearance as appropriate and drug screen.
