This includes, but is not limited to, the installation, upgrade, configuration, performance tuning, maintenance, and support of Unix/Linux servers both centrally and throughout the United States in which support is provided 24/7. Individual will be responsible for installing and maintaining servers and network appliances, including upgrades, backups, and monitoring network traffic.  In addition, individual will make necessary recommendations for modifications to hardware or additional resources needed based on best business practices.  Other duties involves managing and maintaining servers locally and remotely; managing and maintaining DNS and DHCP; utilizing system monitoring tools, troubleshoot network issues, analyze and provide solutions; and supporting Blade technology, migration to Blades and virtual servers  Required Skills: •  5-7 years experience in Unix/Linux administration  •  Perl, C, shell and shell scripting is essential •  Advanced knowledge of DNS and DHCP administration  •  Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networks, Linux/Unix •  Advanced knowledge of networking and sound knowledge of network principles and protocols used in DMZ and LAN’s •  Excellent written and oral communication skills •  Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of individuals (team  player) •  Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment •  Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects •  Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal skills •  Knowledge of networking, file sharing, mounts, system databases •  Knowledge of Windows operating server environment   Position requires US citizenship, background check and fingerprinting; Active security clearance preferred.  Submittal Information:Thank you for reviewing our job posting.
