We are currently looking for a highly skilled User Acceptance Tester to work at our Horsham, Pennsylvania location. Responsibilities include creating or contributing to test plans, writing functional test scenarios that encompass both valid and invalid data, preparing test data, execution of test scenarios, documenting test results and analysis, including defect identification and resolution, and to assure that the product adheres to the functional requirements as communicated by the business. Perform specialized testing procedures on software using non-automated tools.
Specific Responsibilities:
Clearly understands the project needs, objectives, functions, features, and requirements of the project in testing through communication with the project team. Collects additional information for developing test scenarios by interacting with several individuals and teams.Reviews documentation to understand business and functional requirements. Assists in analyzing requirements documents to develop, maintain and apply test plans and scenarios to assigned products to assure product quality from a functional and end user perspective.Rapidly learns the applications under test. Quickly understands what needs to change, the impact of changes and the expected result. Identifies test data requirements; create or obtain test data, develop and execute test cases. Communicates testing expectations to project managers and project team members, and when appropriate, makes recommendations to resolve issues. Documents, tracks, and communicates test plans, test results, analysis, and unresolved problems. Independently works with application designers/developers and other application testers to resolve and correct defects.Ensures that developed tests can be leveraged in the future through appropriate stewardship of test models, test data, and test processes. Continuously improves test models, test data, and test processes based on lessons learned. Verifies all appropriate testing deliverables are met including: Weekly Status Reports; Test Plans; Test Schedules; Bug Tracking; Test Cases; Release Checklists, and Post Mortem Reports. Plans for upcoming projects during periods of downtime. Participate in project reviews and inspections.Become a subject matter expert on systems and applications that are assigned. Develop and maintain regression test scripts for areas of subject matter expertise. Ensure regression test scripts are kept up to date with all production changes.Complies with any applicable Client Services standards and policies. Keeps current with industry trends and practices within area of responsibility. Provide guidance, technical assistance, and mentoring in test development and execution to junior team members. Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
Required Skills
Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience is required.4+ years demonstrable experience with user acceptance testing or equivalent role.Experience in all phases of testing GUI testing, functionality testing, integration and regression testing. Experience creating test cases, scripts, use of automated test tools, testing client/server and internet applications. Experience documenting and analyzing processes and procedures and defining process improvements. Mercury Test Director and Quick Test Professional desired.Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project and Visio. Knowledge of Call Center Operations, functions of Bank Card Policies/Procedure is a plus. Experience documenting and analyzing processes and procedures and defining process improvements.Must be self-motivated, extremely detailed oriented, organized, and possess excellent follow-up skills. Highly motivated, flexible, and adaptable to meet organizational objectives. Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.Excellent verbal and written communications skills, problem-solving ability, people oriented and self-motivated behaviors are necessary.
**Hours of work are generally from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be required for urgent project completion deadlines. Will attend regular meetings, incur frequent interruptions and must be able to alter priorities unexpectedly. Some travel required.
