VAR Business Development Manager
POSITIONSUMMARY
Reporting to the Channel Sales Director, this individual usesknowledge of the industry and an extensive experience with potential resellerpartners to identify, qualify, recruit and establish mid-market and nationalreseller channel for Raritan in the US market. Resellers recruited bythis individual may be traditional hardware/software resellers, solutionproviders who incorporate the Raritan productswith their unique solutions, or other types of Value-Added Resellers. Recruitment activities must take place withinthe team framework and in keeping with overall corporate strategy. Candidate must be based on West Coast of US (California preferred). This position may entail at least 65% travel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES•Develop a significant pipeline ofchannel prospects and successfully close prospects from that pipeline.•Participate in the development ofappropriate sales and marketing materials necessary for channel recruitment.•Provide and/or coordinate allnecessary training for partners.•Implement sales and marketing programsand activities to ensure revenue attainment and joint business goals.•Define and implement strategies tofurther grow assigned accounts while strategically maintaining and growingmarket-share at accounts •Accurately report all recruitmentactivities.•Track and report industry, marketand sales trends that impact channel recruitment capabilities.•Work closely with the Sales andMarketing Teams to ensure excellent communication and cooperation within theteams.•Partner effectively withdistribution sales team to further build prospect pipeline and driveincremental revenueCreate and maintain Sales Plans foreach assigned account, complete with territory, product and revenue forecastsbased on detailed funnel information.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS •West Coast HomeOffice Based positionUnderstand VARbusiness imperatives, channel dynamic and channel development•Strong oral andwritten communication skills•Ability to handlemultiple tasks and switch priorities effectively•BS/BA degree orequivalent experience •5+ years experiencein the Channel Development area
•Familiarity and fluency with all Windows Officeand presentation tools
