WAS/Websphere ADMIN (Tuning and Troubleshooter)RemxIT has a Maryland based client looking to fill it's position for a WAS Websphere (Linux) AdminLocation: Chevy Chase, MD (Friendship HTS metro) Duration:  2 options.......Fulltime (or 3mo contract to hire) F2F interview**US citizens and Green Card Holders and those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply. *****Client is unable to use H1b candidates***** **Word.doc resume must be attached for further consideration** ==============================================WAS/Websphere ADMIN (Tuning and Troubleshooter)***Requirements:-Demonstrated ability to keep up with an ever-changing technical environment.-An enthusiastic, highly organized self- starter and a team player that works well as a member of a diverse team.-At least 3 years of experience in two of the following operating systems: -Solid Websphere Admin -Windows: Windows 2000, Windows 2003, or XP -UNIX: Preferably Solaris -LINUX -ITCAM Server-Must have experience in Middleware products - Websphere Application Server and MQ.- knowledge of J2EE framework and applications with at least 2 years of experience-Also must have at least one year of experience working with object oriented languages such as Java and C++.-Should also have a basic knowledge of network protocols and applications such as TCP/IP and HTTP.-Good troubleshooting skills are a Good troubleshooting skills are a must -a college degree would be a plus.- Must have the ability and flexibility to support and manage our dynamic 7 X 24 Production Web Environment as well as the other testing environments. -Must be willing to work on site on Sundays as needed.**Our legacy systems are running on a Sun Midrange Platform but we are moving over to an IBM Commodity hardware Platform.Would like the person to have Jython and JACL scripting experience1. Install and configure and performance tune and debug WebSphere Application Server, WMQ, and other J2EE software products and fixes on Linux/Windows/UNIX platforms.2. Support the application development cycle * involved with application design, deploying code, and resolving any infrastructure problems.3. Support production implementations and resolve any production problems* support application production releases, monitor production environment, tune production environment, participate in production problem calls, resolve any problems related to Middleware.4. Write or modify scripts (Korn shell, JACL, JYTHON).5. When we have lease replacements we have to reinstall all middleware products6. We use a change management system to report all changes in a timely manner and obtain the proper approvals7. Project plans using MS Project will be written for most projects that we are overseeing8.
