Musician's Friend is the nation’s largest direct marketer of music gear through its catalog and website.  Currently, Musician's Friend offers over 36,000 products which include guitars, basses, keyboards, percussion, amps, as well as recording, mixing, lighting, and DJ gear.  In addition, hundreds of new products are added monthly.

 

Musician's Friend has recently moved in to our state-of-the-art, 700,000 square foot distribution Center.  In order to accommodate our unbelievable growth, Musician's Friend is seeking a WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) Engineer.

 

The WMS Engineer provides administrative and technical support of the Warehouse Management System (WMS); including system maintenance, security, development, and end-user support.

 

Major responsibilities of the position are listed below:

 Assist in the configuration, maintenance, system development/enhancements to support all WMS system user accounts.Creates documentation and reports.Monitors and maintains the WMS system.Works closely with Other IT staff company-wide to identify, analyze, and devise solutions that allow the WMS to meet business needs.Provides technical assistance to users working towards the resolution of operational problems.Maintains accurate record, inventory and system documentation.

 

Education and ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent.Bachelor’s Degree in CIS, IT, or MIS preferred.Experience with warehouse management systems a must.High Jump experience a plus.Typically requires 1 to 2 years of related experience and/or training.Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Skills and AbilitiesProficient in MS-Office Software and highly skilled in Excel.Experience with SQL.Ability to create and maintain clear and concise program documents, user procedures and other written reports.Ability to prioritize inquires and requests from end users.Possess good written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Methodical attention to detail.Consistent work habits.
