Web Content / Project Coordinator3 month contract opportunity with valued client in the Silicon Valley Area. This is a contract position with probability of transitioning into full time with our client for the right candidate.Role:Project Coordinator (contract)Were looking for a seasoned project coordinator to help us manage the user assistance content for a very large, fast-paced project. The ideal candidate must be passionate about creating a world-class customer-facing user experience.This position will work closely with members of Product Management, Content Strategy, Content Management, Web Development, UI Design, Visual Design, Product Development, and Operations teams.Primary Job Responsibilities: Develop detailed project plans Drive, manage and track project through each phase of the project lifecycle to successful hand-off to partner teams Assign work to writers and facilitate review process Monitor competing deadlines and resources within the team, identify situations requiring resource re-allocation, and work with manager/lead to update resource model as needed Communicate status, issues and risks to project stakeholders Provide project leadership to cross-functional project teams, and maintain project documentation Schedule and facilitate ongoing group meetings with project stakeholders to accurately communicate project status, issues, and risks Maintain up-to-date lists of deliverables, timelines, and milestones Maintain relationships with stakeholders for each project Maintain sense of what's happening on partner teams and help anticipate content needs Pull project data as needed, e.g., number of rewrites done, rewrites remaining, rewrites in review stage, productivity estimates, etc. Maintain metrics dashboardRequirements: At least 3 years managing projects in a fast moving internet environment. Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. Expert operating knowledge of MS applications, such as Project, Excel, Power point, Word and SharePoint. Exceptional teamwork abilities; sensitivity to the job environment and work load of others; Ability to work both independently and as a team member Solid experience with formal software development life cycles, especially in a Web environment. Hands-on experience with the day-to-day management of multiple software development projects and frequent product releases Superb organizational skills. Ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously Knowledge of project management software tools and management techniques Demonstrated track record of successfully planning and managing small to larger-scale project implementations Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with other departments and varying levels of management. Ability to negotiate priorities across teams is required.
